7 Months

Well, the girls are 8 months old now but I thought I would write about what they did at 7 months. :) They were all the sudden not "babies" anymore. We felt like they were growing up right before us and ready for more. We let them sit in a high chair at a restaurant, took them to swing at the park and they started moving everywhere! Sloane is now crawling and Stella almost is. She is pretty much doing what Sloane was doing a couple of weeks ago so I know it's only a matter of time before they are both going different ways and fast! Sloane is quick! She likes to walk fast too. If you are holding her hands and "walking" her, it's hard to keep up! I know she will be walking within the next month or so. YIKES!
Now that it is finally warmer we have been getting out more. Going to the park and walking around the neighborhood. I also took them to Target recently and put them in the cart that has the two seats attached. They loved it and I loved being able to go to the store with them on my own without Nick.
The time change has been hard on them. They usually go to sleep at about 5:45 or 6:00. Now that it doesn't get dark till later they are having trouble settling down at night. Whoever decided on Daylight Savings Time must not have had children. Can't we just leave the time the way it is?? It was already naturally staying a bit lighter at night anyway. Why do we have to go and throw off every child in America's routine? Enough about that...they are doing better now and hopefully in a few more days we will be in a new routine.
Here are some of my favorite 7 Month pictures...

6 Months Old

Wow! I can't believe I haven't updated since October! I really wanted to be better about keeping a blog but you could say "I have my hands full". The girls are doing so much now! Rolling over everywhere, laughing, playing with each other and all kinds of toys they got for Christmas and watching Baby Einstein. Stella got her first tooth January 10th and Sloane's popped up the next day. Now Sloane has both bottom ones but Stella still only has one. They are so much fun and I am so glad I get to be home with them everyday. Here are a couple pics from Christmas. They had a blast and got some many presents! I still need to write thank you notes!

The Pumpkin Patch

Every since I moved to Clear Lake, 3 years ago, I have wanted to visit the Clear Lake United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch. I used to drive by it on my way to work and always thought it was so pretty. Well, now that I have 2 beautiful daughters I knew we had to go! I will let the pictures speak for themselves. My friend Emily made the bows. Too cute! And I just got my hair done so it looked nice for the pics, instead of a ponytail like it usually is. We are blessed! Happy Fall!

3 Months Old and More Sleep!

Wow! 3 Months has gone by ssssooo fast! I feel like I have barely sat down since the girls were born! They did start sleeping really well this past week. From about 9 or 10 PM till 4 or 5 AM. The first time they did it I couldn't believe it! Usually if they went to sleep at 9:00 they would be up about midnight to eat again. Sloane was the first to wake up that first night and I went to change her. Nick said "oh, she's up?" and I said "It's 5:00!!" We couldn't believe she had gone all night and Stella was still sleeping too! She ended up waking up a few minutes later nut we were so proud of how long they had gone. We were worried it was a fluke but it wasn't. They both slept at least 7 hours the last 5 nights. I know some babies do this sooner, but for us to get both of them sleeping at the same time was such a huge deal! We hope that they start sleeping longer and longer now. Soon it will be time to put them up in their nursery. I am kinda sad thinking about it but I want them to be in their own room sooner than later so that hopefully the transition is a smooth one. They both can put themselves to sleep in the pack n play in our room so I am hoping they will do it in their cribs too. I have to go now. I got on the computer to pick out pictures for their birth announcements. Yes I know, I am so late. If I am lucky I will get them sent out before Christmas! HAHA
I hope you are all doing well. The picture is of the girls at 9 weeks. That's the last ones I have uploaded to the computer. These are the first books we read to them.

Twins are here!

Well almost 2 months later I finally have a chance to post about the twins. They are absolutely adorable!! It's been a hard 7 weeks but very fun too. I have had lots of help from my mom, mother in law and friends. Kendra came and stayed for several days too. Taking care of 2 newborns is probably the hardest thing I have ever done but totally worth it. Everyone started back to school this week and I must say I was kinda sad. I do miss teaching but I know this is where I need to be right now. Plus I couldn't imagine leaving these little ones with anyone but Mamaw or Grammy right now. Here are some pics of the girls...I know, I know, FINALLY!!

Arrival Date!

I am 35 weeks now and still feeling good. I have been having some cramping at night but nothing that I think is real labor. I guess my body is just starting to get ready now. We found out this week that if the girls don't come on their own, we will be induced or have a C-section on July 7th. If Baby B turns head down we can try for a regular delivery but if not, it will have to be C-section. The doctor's office called me today and said that it will be July 8th now because there were too many deliveries on 7/7. We'll see when the girls decide to come! After all it's not up to us! I am hoping that they will stay in for 2 more weeks, as much as I can't wait to see their sweet little faces, I know the longer they are in, the better!

A New Chapter

Well, here goes nothing! I have been reading friends' blogs for a while now and wanting to start one but just never knew what I would write about. I figure with the twins coming soon I will have plenty to write about. I am 34 weeks pregnant with twin girls. Nick and I are getting very excited and just can't wait to meet them! Should only be a few more weeks now. I will keep you posted!
Here is a recent pic of me at 32 weeks.
